Craig's RV Resort is a very nice park located in Arcadia, FL. There is a healthy mix of permanent residences and seasonal homes plus mobile units. The mobiles range from large class A motorhomes to small travel trailers. There are activities to satisfy nearly everyone and there is also the opportunity to sit on your own private patio and just do nothing but enjoying the near perfect Florida weather. Arcadia is a mere 7 mile drive south on Florida highway 17 and restaurants and all essential amenities are available. This is a great park and has spaces for 360 +/- units. It is perfectly sized for those whom prefer a less frenetic lifestyle. Check it out and you just might decide to stay.....We did!
We found this park because of horseshoes. Nice courts. Travel to other parks to pitch. Other parks come here. Christian park. Friendly people treat you like family. Been coming 6 seasons and love it. Quiet 7 miles north of Arcadia on 17. Lots of activities for everyone. You can be busy or not. Pet friendly with 2 dog parks small and large dogs. Musicians in park get together and jam. Bluegrass music at the bluegrass barn one weekend month by bluegrass association. Most reasonable park in area cost wise. Laundromat on site with lots of washers and dryers. Recommend you check it out. You'll have a hard time leaving all the friends you meet
It's a wonderful place to come. People are very friendly and lots of activities to do.
I'm far from experienced in the field of retirement communities, but that is what this is. I can, however, compare to others in the Arcadia area. Craig's is clean, low traffic, and has an equal mix of RVs and "permanent" mobile homes. The residents are friendly. There is a heated, saltwater pool; 0.7 mile walking track, puzzle/games room open until 10PM, horseshoe pit, boche ball, and shuffleboard area. Trash/recycling are dropped at a central location in the back of the Park that is kept clean and does not smell. There is a dog-free section of the Park. We felt very welcome for the week we stayed here.
